RMYC will be running a Start Sailing course beginning in April this year.
This short course will put you at the helm of a keelboat and teach you the basics of sailing. It is ideal for those with experience as crew or with some experience on dinghies, but this is not essential. It’s open both to members who feel that they might benefit from a bit of coaching to improve their helming skills and also to non-members who want to take up keelboat sailing. Dates for for 2023 are now set, with evening classes on the Wednesday evenings 26 April, 3 May and 17 May and the first three training days on the water on 30 April, 7 May and 20 May. Further days will be arranged according to demand and availability.
