Mylne PTBOWe had a really good day on Sunday May 10th with sailing taster sessions enjoyed by a dozen visitors, with a very pleasing age range from teen to septuagenarian. We gathered in the clubhouse at mid-day and, after a briefing about safety and the sailing arrangements, we ferried the visitors out to the boats on their moorings.

Squib PTBOAfter a brief period of familiarisation with the boats we had a race around the buoys between Rock Ferry and Bromborough. The weather was quite kind to us with moderate winds at first rising to a good stiff breeze by the end of the race.

You can see many more pictures of the sailing via this link.

Etchells PTBOAfter sailing we retired to the clubhouse for tea and cakes and a chat about our experiences. It seemed that everyone had enjoyed themselves and I’m sure we’ll see many of our guests again. There are several more who have discovered us and although they were unable to join us on the day will, I’m sure, want to have a go on another day.
